From the same studio responsible for Furi, comes Cairn, a wildly different game that can still prove challenging and with some very interesting mechanics. Cairn is both a climbing and a survival game, you manually control all 4 members while climbing and need to manage your resources like stamina and climbing tools, as well as food and water. It's up to the player to choose the best way to climb the mountain and where to take in the beautiful vistas.
Cairn is not only an ode to mountaineering, as it involves managing each hold, body balance, planning, routes, and important, decisive choices. But it also offers a philosophical perspective, I would say, on themes such as solitude, silence, and determination. Each climb is unique, a real challenge, and even though I'm not a mountaineer myself, I want to give it a try.
Climbing games seem to be popular now, and here we have a new one, Cairn, but this one is more serious, a real challenging survival experience, where every step and every piton matters. We will play alone and will help Aava in her climbing journey, with perfect simulation of balance and support, of course you will get new tools the higher you get with the survival part. And all this with very beautiful graphics that make the mountain vistas a pleasure, especially when you finally get on top
