When is the BeastLink Early Access release date?
BeastLink will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on August 18. Developer Grove Street Games confirmed that console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are currently in active development. They will remain on hold until the game reaches its full 1.0 launch window approximately one year later.
The early access debut marks a significant strategic pivot for the studio. They are moving away from legacy remasters like GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition to focus on an original, proprietary IP.
Initial Steam content includes three maps, four playable Kaiju, and two main multiplayer modes alongside full offline support. Players can access single-player missions and a dedicated practice mode to learn control schemes prior to entering competitive matches.
What is BeastLink and how does the Kaiju gameplay work?
BeastLink is a 32-player action multiplayer game where human ground troops, military vehicles, and colossal Kaiju collide in destructible urban centers. Players collect experimental serum during matches to establish a neural connection with sleeping monsters. This temporarily transforms soldiers into massive creatures with unique combat capabilities.
Matches operate on a multi-tiered tactical combat system. Ground units rely on infantry weapons, tanks, attack helicopters, and jets to secure objectives and gather serum containers scattered across the map.
Once a player accumulates sufficient serum, they establish a Link with a dormant titan. Taking control of a Kaiju shifts the combat perspective to city-scale destruction, allowing players to engage opposing monsters directly or destroy enemy infantry squads.

How does SuperDestruction technology alter the battlefield?
SuperDestruction engine technology allows BeastLink to process over 250,000 destructible objects per map dynamically in real time. Instead of relying on static cover or scripted events, every skyscraper and wall collapses dynamically. This lets players weaponize collapsing structures to crush enemies and reshape battlefield sightlines.
This real-time physics system turns the environment into a key tactical resource. Squads can bring down high-rise structures to trap opposing monsters. They can also clear line-of-sight for heavy artillery or block narrow choke points against infantry pushes.
Because urban structures degrade under continuous fire, no two matches retain identical layouts. Players must continually adjust their defensive positioning as primary structures collapse into impassable piles of rubble.
When mankind clashes with nature, Beasts are born. Transformed from one of nature’s most powerful primates into a towering Kaiju, it unleashes regenerative bone weapons, massive claws & an enraging battle cry that makes it a force on the battlefield. https://t.co/jSY2VRKVDx

Mandrill reveal and the initial Kaiju launch roster
The Early Access launch roster features four distinct Kaiju: the Horned Lizard, Bull Shark, Vampire Bat, and Mandrill. Each creature possesses unique movement mechanics and specialized attack profiles engineered for specific team roles.
Detailed in a recent Steam Developer Update, the Mandrill was designed in partnership with Efecto Studios. This primate-inspired titan prioritizes agility, physical reach, and high-impact abilities:
- Build a Ball: Constructs a massive projectile out of building debris to throw or kick directly at opposing monsters and defensive structures.
- Thrown Bone: Detaches a regenerative shoulder bone to use as a heavy projectile, knocking down enemy Kaiju on impact.
- Enraged Scream: Activates a 60-second speed buff that dramatically increases attack rates and ability recovery times.
Grove Street Games plans to expand the experience significantly over the course of Early Access, targeting 12 maps, 8 playable Beasts, and 10 solo/co-op story missions for the final 1.0 console release.
