EA Opens Battlefield 6 to Everyone With Game Pass and Free Trials of PS5 and PC
Battlefield 6 arrives on Xbox Game Pass via EA Play with Season 5 updates alongside limited-time free play access on PlayStation and PC.
Key Takeaways
- Battlefield 6 is now available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass via EA Play.
- The game’s arrival coincides with the launch of Season 5, which introduces new maps, weapons, and gameplay updates.
- A free-to-play trial giving full access to all maps and modes will run on PlayStation and Steam from October 15 to 19, 2026.
Calling today a big day for Xbox Game Pass would be an understatement as subscribers get three new games including the day-one launches of Valor Mortis and Deep Dish Dungeon. The biggest addition for many members, though, is Battlefield 6 which finally joins the catalog through EA Play. And to make it even sweeter, it arrives alongside Season 5.
Battlefield 6 Comes to Xbox Game Pass via EA Play
Battlefield 6 is now part of EA Play which is included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Unlike other premium EA titles, the shooter never offered a timed EA Play trial so this marks its first arrival on the service. Players who held off buying the game can finally access the full experience through their subscription instead of paying for a separate copy.
The timing also lines up with the game’s first anniversary which it celebrated just a couple of days ago. EA is also marking the occasion with Season 5, launching alongside the game’s subscription debut. The new season adds two maps, a new game mode, four weapons, and several gameplay updates, giving returning players fresh content to try.
EA Play members can also claim additional rewards for Battlefield 6 including the Deployment Pack and the Season 5 EA Play Pack. These extras give subscribers a little more to pick up alongside the latest seasonal content.
Not on EA Play or Game Pass? Battlefield 6 will also be free to play on Playstation and Steam from October 15-19, 2026. The full version of the game including all available maps and modes will be accessible.
