Time is running out for wrestling fans. 2K Games has confirmed that WWE 2K24 faces a permanent removal from all digital storefronts next month. If you don’t own it by the January 31 deadline, it will be gone forever.

WWE 2K24 will be delisted from all storefronts on January 31, and “all game functions requiring online servers will no longer function” from March 31, 2026.

The news comes from the game’s Steam store page. While many may be hearing about it for the first time, the server shutdown is actually coming at a later date than planned, as 2K Games was initially taking it offline on January 6.

Mark your calendars for January 31, 2026. This is the absolute cutoff point. After this date, the base game and every single piece of downloadable content (DLC) vanish from Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox.

This isn’t just about the main title. If you are missing specific wrestler packs or the Season Pass, you must secure them now. Once the clock strikes midnight, completing your digital collection becomes impossible.

Servers vs Online Features

Purchasing the game is one thing, but playing it is another matter. A few weeks after 2K Games removes WWE 2K24 from storefronts, the servers will shut down on March 31.

When the servers go dark, huge chunks of the game die with them. You will lose access to all online matches, the massive library of Community Creations, and the MyFACTION mode.

However, your purchase won’t be entirely useless. Offline modes like the 40 Years of WrestleMania Showcase, MyRISE, Universe Mode, MyGM, and standard exhibition matches remain fully playable for owners.

Verdict: Is WWE 2K24 Worth a Final Buy?

Buying WWE 2K24 is simply a “now or never” scenario. If you want to experience the specific roster snapshot or the WrestleMania story mode, you have weeks to act. Gamers who want to complete their library or play the game someday must buy it before it’s too late.
