Classic Games On EA Play in April 2024

Attention retro games fans! Three classic games from the late 90s have made a comeback thanks to EA Play!

The gaming subscription service shadow-dropped these games on April 16, 2024 marking what could be a start of waves of retro titles being available to EA Play.



  • Populous: The Beginning
  • Sid Meiers Alpha Centauri; and
  • Sim City 3000 Unlimited



It is uncertain why there was no announcement or any press regarding this as these titles do have solid following especially during their time. It does beg the question, are more retro games entering EA Play like this?

Since EA Play is an inclusion to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, subscribers of the said services will also have access to these games at no additional cost. Note however that none of them support Xbox achievements.
