The Good Life is described as a “Debt Repayment RPG” where you’re tasked to solve a murder mystery while trying to earn money.

In The Good Life, you will play as journalist Naomi Hayward who’s from New York. She flies all the way to Rainy Woods in England as part of her assignment from The Morning Bell newspaper. Drowning in debt, Naomi accepts the offer from the paper to uncover the mystery of the small English town.
While in Rainy Woods, Naomi takes photos using her camera. These photos will help her earn the money she needs to pay off her debt. While busy trying to take photos, she discovers something strange happening to the townspeople: they transform into cats and dogs at night! And while she’s trying to solve this mystery, a murder happens.
This “Debt-Repayment RPG” will have you exploring Rainy Woods not only as Naomi herself, but also as Naomi as a dog/cat. Yes, it might sound weird, but she eventually is able to transform too. Her skills as a human, a dog, or a cat will help her solve the mystery that’s shrouding the town.
As she explores, there are also tons of things waiting to be discovered: unlock shrines, or even hop on a sheep and ride around the hills.
The Good Life is available now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
