Following the first Dev Log on 24 April 2025 for Subnautica 2, we got some key info about Early Access. Inviting users to join the official Discord for the latest news and to share ideas and feedback. One of the recent discussions gave us some interesting info from design lead, Anthony Gallegos.

News shared by The Gamer, where Anthony drops a few details about series director Charlie Cleveland. Apparently busy producing a film. This news definitely stirred fans up. With the outlet confirming Cleveland’s new status on LinkedIn, confirming he’s exploring the movie or series idea seriously.

 

Subnautica: Latest Franchise News

According to Anthony Gallegos, it seems the big wish of the game director and the fans has finally come true. With Charlie Cleveland always keen on bringing a movie adaptation of Subnautica. Although it’s still early days and not quite official yet.

Meanwhile, the team confirms the first Subnautica will launch on Android and iOS devices from 8 July 2025. And with new info on Subnautica 2 from the latest Waterside Q&A on 3 June 2025. Confirming the team is not ready to confirm the Early Access date yet. But confirming not only co-op multiplayer, but also day one availability in Early Access on Xbox Game Pass. Plus lots of other cool info.
