Stellar Blade x NieR:Automata: Epic Crossover DLC Launches Next Week!
Stellar Blade and NieR:Automata come together in an epic crossover later this month that fans of both universes have been waiting for. The Stellar Blade x NieR:Automata DLC comes with Photo Mode on November 20.
Stellar Blade launched on April 26 on PS5, and next week an eagerly awaited major title update adds Photo Mode and the NieR:Automata DLC.
The Stellar Blade and NieR:Automata crossover brings both universes together with multiple “collaboration items” made available. The update also adds support for six additional languages and expanded character customization for Eve. The Stellar Blade X NieR:Automata update comes on November 20.
Key Features in the Stellar Blade x NieR
DLC
In a blog post, Stellar Blade technical director DongKi Lee describes the upcoming title update as a “fantastic collaboration where the worlds of Stellar Blade and NieR:Automata meet.” Coming to Stellar Blade is Emil, a merchant from NieR who brings his shop, offering eleven special collaboration items. The new items will “interwine the best of both games,” according to Lee.
Developer Shift Up is finally adding the long-awaited Photo Mode to Stellar Blade in the coming update. With the new Photo Mode, players can snap their favorite moments, from epic battles to emotional character moments.
The devs have also worked hard on introducing additional language support, character customization options, such as the ability to remove Eve’s ponytail in the “Ponytail Length” settings option, and new auto-targeting and ballistics correction features to make battles more exciting.
How to Access the Stellar Blade x NieR
DLC
The coming Stellar Blade and NieR:Automata update is a free patch, with players needing to unlock the collaboration items in-game through progression and purchases. Shift Up and PlayStation are being tight-lipped on the possibility of future expansions. The latest update on November 20 will hopefully be enough to keep fans happy going into 2025 and beyond.
Conclusion
Stellar Blade and NieR: Automata are coming together for an epic crossover that introduces special collaboration items to Stellar Blade. Video game collaborations are a great way to attract new players to an IP, and alongside the new Photo Mode, the patch coming on November 20 promises exciting new ways to play.
