Starfield features a world with over 1000 planets. Many of them are procedurally generated and include handcrafted content. Because of that, you do not need to visit every planet to feel like you have seen everything. However, many of these planets include large cities with plenty of interiors to explore and lots of side quests to discover. This results in hundreds of hours of gameplay with many different worlds to explore. The high storage requirement comes from the large number of assets, textures, and dialogue. There has been some criticism that many planets feel similar and lack detail. Still, Starfield is definitely one of the biggest sci fi RPGs of all time.
