Bethesda has updated fans on its future plans for its sci-fi RPG, Starfield, saying it has “exciting things” to share in the coming months.


After it was a no-show at the recent Xbox Games Showcase in June, Starfield is finally getting some love from Microsoft and Bethesda, with the RPG set for what Bethesda is calling “exciting things.”

The update was shared in a Steam post as part of the game’s 1.15.222 update, and many are hoping to hear more at Gamescom 2025 in August.

What Has Bethesda Teased

Bethesda’s post on Steam was short and vague, and easily missed if you didn’t happen to read the latest patch notes. The statement reads: “Looking ahead, we’re continuing work on future updates and will share more about the exciting things we have planned for Starfield in the coming months.”

While Bethesda does not expand into further details, there’s at least hope among fans that we could get answers at Gamescom 2025, which begins on August 20 in Cologne.
