Only three months remain until the release of Resident Evil Requiem. We already had the chance to test the demo at the Gamescom 2025. Yesterday evening, the Steam store page for Resident Evil Requiem was updated.

Resident Evil Requiem Editions

The newest Resident Evil game will be released early next year. However, yesterday brought new information about the different editions of the game. There will be a total of three editions and what they include, you can find out right here.

Resident Evil Requiem Release Date and Platforms

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026 for PC (Steam and Epic Games), PS5, Xbox Series X/S and even the Nintendo Switch 2. Since yesterday, two editions of the game are also available for pre-order.

Resident Evil Requiem Editions Overview

With the Standard Edition, you get the base version of the game without any extras. However, there is a pre-order bonus for both editions: as a pre-order customer, you receive the Apocalypse outfit for Grace. The Deluxe Edition is available for all platforms and includes a variety of cosmetic items such as:

  • 5 costumes
  • 4 weapon skins
  • 2 screen filters
  • 2 charms
  • Audio Pack: Raccoon City Classic
  • Files: Letters from 1998

Special Extras and Notes

Resident Evil Requiem is the first Capcom game to be sold through the Epic Games Store. Because of this, there will be a special collaboration with Fortnite. If you purchase the game via the Epic Games Store, you will receive exclusive Fortnite items like the “Grace” outfit. These will be unlocked after the release of Resident Evil 9.

But that’s not all — Nintendo Switch 2 fans can also look forward to something special: the first Resident Evil Amiibo featuring Grace. It will likely be released in summer 2026, not directly at launch. Additionally, a Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller designed in the Resident Evil Requiem theme will also be available. This controller will launch together with the game.

At the beginning of next year, a “Resident Evil Showcase” is planned, providing more in-depth insights into Resident Evil 9 Requiem. However, a fixed date has not yet been announced. You can therefore look forward to more exciting announcements for RE9 in the coming months.

With Resident Evil Requiem, we can expect the next major entry in the beloved horror series at the start of 2026. Especially the Fortnite crossover content and the first Resident Evil Amiibo show that Capcom is exploring new ways to engage the community.
