Once Human confirmed for Console and Version 2.0 with Endless Dream now Available!

Once Human is the post-apocalyptic open-world survival game from the team at Starry Studio, one of NetEase’s development teams, which first revealed the title during the Summer Game Fest 2022. Following the first beta in early 2023 and more betas throughout the year, the official launch happened on July 9, 2024 on PC as a F2P title, hitting over 10 million downloads.

The game also landed in April on mobile devices, offering a post-apocalyptic open world with a survival system full of dangers, mysteries, and customization. Once Human – PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Version Confirmed

During the Once Human Global Annual Showcase 2025 held on July 2nd, the Starry Studio team dropped major news. They finally confirmed the arrival of their F2P post-apocalyptic survival game on consoles, planned for a 2026 launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

This is awesome news, as players can finally continue their adventure on console. The team also confirmed cross-progression from PC or mobile. However, the FAQ suggests that the console versions will initially have an older build, but the team assures that in the future, content will be consistent with PC and mobile.

Once Human: What’s New in Version 2.0

But the biggest news is definitely the launch of the game’s version 2.0, which brings a ton of new content, events, and even a new game mode. The update is available today, July 3, 2025, and specifically offers:

  • Endless Dream: The new PvE mode where Nalcott has been invaded by a strange nightmare. Dreams have become reality with anomalies and weird phenomena, and Metas will have to team up to stop it all.
  • Class System Public Test: Get a first taste of the new Class system. Chef, Gardener, and Beastmaster are available to try out.
  • New Events: Lots of new limited-time events in Dreamland Fantasia. Featuring various minigames and surprises, not to mention the rewards you can unlock.
