Ragnarok Console Project officially announced for a 2027 launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Ragnarok fans have a new adventure to look forward to. A new game set in the long-running franchise has officially been announced and although details are still limited, the reveal has already given fans plenty to be excited for. With a planned launch in 2027, the “next” chapter of Ragnarok is now set in stone.

Ragnarok Console Project Announced for 2027

Ragnarok Console Project has officially been announced and while an exact release date has not yet been confirmed, the game is currently scheduled to launch during the first half of 2027. The title is the latest “branch” out of the highly successful Ragnarok franchise which began with Ragnarok Online and has grown into one of the most recognizable MMORPG series in gaming.

The announcement trailer did not reveal much but it was enough to get fans excited for what’s to come.

Apart from the confirmation of the game itself, the community is particularly pleased that it will be released across all major platforms including PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. The game is being developed by Waycoder and published by Gravity and Daewon Media.

It is also worth noting that Ragnarok Console Project is NOT the same game as Project Ragnarok, the AAA MMORPG currently in development by NetEase Games. Despite the similar names, the two projects are entirely separate titles with different developers and goals.

What Is Ragnarok Console Project?

According to its official description, Ragnarok Console Project is a new RPG built around the world of Ragnarok. The game takes place in a familiar yet completely reimagined version of the Ragnarok universe, where reality itself is beginning to collapse.

Players will uncover hidden truths behind the world’s destruction while navigating a story centered on choices, consequences, and conflicting beliefs rather than a straightforward battle between good and evil. Along the way, they will explore deserts, ruins, research facilities, and dimensional rift zones while traveling with companions representing classic Ragnarok classes such as Knights, Mages, Priests, and Hunters.
