Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the new action JRPG set in the Yakuza universe, and ahead of its release, SEGA has treated us to its opening movie, which gives us a brief introduction of the different characters, their voice actors, and some of the local areas around the city.
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is an upcoming RPG developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and is the direct sequel to 2020’s Yakuza: Like A Dragon.
In the ninth mainline entry of the Like A Dragon series, you once again play as Ichiban Kasuga, who, after leaving his criminal past behind, finds himself falling back into the criminal underworld to earn money as he searches for his mother before any of the criminal syndicates do.
The legendary Kazuma Kiryu returns as another protagonist to help him in his hour of need. Together, the two of them will find their stories intertwined as they use their fists, minds, and whatever else they can get their hands on to stay out of the gutter and climb society’s ladder again.
Infinite Wealth features multiple locations, including District Five, Aloha Beach, and Waikiki in Hawaii. The game will take place between Yokohama and Honolulu, with quests, side missions, and jobs found across every location.
And just like previous Like A Dragon and Yakuza games, there will be A LOT to do, with tons of mini-games that will see you become a delivery driver, create a dating profile, and play Texas Hold’Em. There’s also karaoke, arcade games, and a darts mini-game.
SEGA is offering the largest Like A Dragon game to date, and they’re making sure there’s always something to do and trouble to get into.
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth releases January 26 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It’s not too late to get your game key for day one release.
