In the ongoing Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) investigation regarding their acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft leaked the release window of GTA VI.

In the CMA investigation, Sony alleged that Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard would severely impact PlayStation and PlayStation Plus and the games’ market as a whole.

In their latest response, Microsoft tries to downplay the significance of Activision Blizzard’s franchises, such as Call of Duty, and point to other companies they’ve previously acquired as being bigger.

One such company is Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, the developer of the Grand Theft Auto series.

GTA 6: Biggest Leak Ever Releases 90 Videos

While pointing to Rockstar Games and GTA, Microsoft states, “the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released in 2024.”

Neither Rockstar Games nor Microsoft has officially confirmed a release date or year for GTA 6, but it seems the game may be less than a couple of years away.
