Sony has announced that pre-orders for God of War Laufey will officially begin on September 29 at 10AM local time. The price was not part of the update, though it’s not long before we know that too.
While that important detail is still missing, at least we now know what players can get by pre-ordering. Anyone who purchases God of War Laufey before launch will receive the Last Wish Armor Set, Phranque Golden Leaves Appearance, and an in-game resource pack as pre-order bonuses. The first two can also be unlocked through game progression.
Along with the preorder details, Sony also revealed the game’s Digital Deluxe Edition. It will include the base game, the Dark Alchemy Armor Set, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy Bow Scales, Dark Alchemy Catalyst, an in-game resource pack, a Digital Mini Artbook, and the official God of War: Laufey digital soundtrack. Like the pre-order bonus, the in-game contents can be unlocked through progression.
That is a lot of extra stuff but not until we know how much they’re charging for it will we know if it’s justified.
As for the physical release, there was no mention of a physical deluxe or collector’s edition yet. While that would be awesome, fans are just happy that the full game is on the standard physical release and not just a download code.
