With a trailer released on 21st October 2023, the Final Fantasy collaboration has finally begun recently. The Square Enix franchise collaboration involves Final Fantasy XIV Online, the MMORPG Fantasy entry that celebrated 10 years this February, and Final Fantasy XVI, the latest chapter in the series released last June.
The Final Fantasy XIV Online Crossover event brings a series of in-game rewards to add to our inventory. Rewards specifically based on Final Fantasy XVI, the latest chapter in the Square Enix series still exclusive to PlayStation 5. By completing the special quest A Land on Fire, you will receive as a reward:
The limited-time event of Final Fantasy XIV Online will take place from April 2, 2024, 1:00 AM PDT (9:00 AM GMT+1) until May 8, 2024, at 7:59 AM PDT (3:59 PM GMT+1). It will therefore be available for over a month, covering until the first week of May. The requirements to redeem the rewards and especially to complete the Special Quest A Land on Fire are to have reached at least level 50 and have completed the Quest The Ultimate Weapon.
So there is plenty of time to complete the requirements even for new players, and there are also shop upgrades that will help you reach the required level faster. An eagerly awaited crossover event that, upon its conclusion, could also announce the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI.
