F1 23 Gets Even Better in October! New F2 Season, Pro Challenges, and More Revealed

Released back in June 2023, the response for F1 23 has been quite positive so far. With lots of content for both single player experience and multiplayer, with updated visuals and car handling. And while the AI still needs some fixes, it is far better than in 22.
With the beginning of October, Codemaster has confirmed the content of the upcoming 1.13 update which brings quite a slew of content as well as some hotfixes caused by the previous patch.
New Pro Challenges
It’s undeniable that the highlight content of this update is definitely the new Pro Challenges. Kicking off the first challenge is the return of the Ambassador and champion Max Verstappen. Allowing those who beat his time of 1:28:176 on the legendary Suzuka circuit to earn the very same helmet he wore at the Japanese Grand Prix. As well as a second one against Charles Leclerc.
And 3 more Challenges to come for the Qatar Airways Grand Prix, the Lenovo United States Grand Prix X and the Gran Premio De La Ciudad de México as well as confirmed studio-curated challenges against Nico Hülkenberg and Sergio Perez.
Replay Events
With the new updates we’ll be able to relive the Japanese Grand Prix as any of the 20 pilots in an accurate replica of the Grand Prix. And maybe play as Yuki Tsunoda and allow him to get a better result this time around! Along with the upcoming Challenges we’ll be able to Replay the events in the upcoming confirmed Qatar, Mexican and Brazilian Grand Prix.
Formula 2, Hotfixes and more
October is also the month of the new Formula 2 season, with a confirmation that the players will be able to compete against the most prominent F2 racers such as Ayumu Iwasa, Théo Pourchaire and Frederik Vesti in the classic 14-rounds season. Most likely with these new drivers available as part of the single player and multiplayer modes for the F2 experience.
Also confirmed is the updated liveries of this season as well as the various modifications to the F1 cars that the various teams have made over time and will be thus reflected in the game.
Finally the 1.13 update will finally bring a fix to the Equal Performance, the setting that equalized the performance of each car, that was broken in 1.12. As well as a fix to the custom control scheme which was incorrectly reset to default and wiped out. Especially annoying for those who had to adjust their gears to their optimal settings just to see them deleted unjustly.
