Epic Games Store is kicking off October with free copies of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and BURIED STARS. Both will be available to claim from October 1 through October 8.

You’ll explore the ship, uncover what happened, manage weapons and abilities, and develop your character through different military paths.

Nightdive Studios brought the sci-fi horror classic up to date with sharper character models, full mod support, cross-play co-op, and support for high frame rates on modern displays.

   

BURIED STARS Free Key on Epic

 

BURIED STARS takes a very different approach to survival, leaning into mystery and narrative tension. The story centers on a televised survival audition show that turns tragic when the studio building collapses, trapping the finalists and staff beneath the rubble.

Things go from bad to worse once a contestant turns up dead, kicking off an investigation among the survivors where panic and suspicion run high. You work through the mystery using branching dialogue choices and a mock in-game social media feed that reflects public sentiment and offers subtle clues, with every interaction steering the plot toward multiple different endings.
