The Partnership Between Edia and Falcom: The Revival of PC-Engine Classics
The Falcom team remains especially busy in 2025 and with some projects already lined up for 2026. But with some surprise news on September 3, 2025, we have the announcement of a Partnership between Edia and Falcom. A partnership that will see the Edia team porting the great PC-Engine classics by Falcom to modern platforms, specifically:
- Ys I & II , Ys III and Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys
- Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes I & II
- The Legend of Xanadu I & II
Making use of the porting knowledge acquired with the Telenet Japan titles by the Edia team themselves. Confirming a port of these Falcom classics with a launch window between 2026 and 2027. These will therefore be in addition to Falcom’s new projects for 2026.
