The gaming industry continues to grow, and recent acquisitions and mergers have seen vast sums of money and the biggest gaming franchises exchange hands.
Recent years have seen Microsoft purchase Zenimax, the parent company of Bethesda, and Activision Blizzard for billions of dollars.
According to reports, EA is looking to capitalize on recent trends by seeing a merger or buyer.
Reports suggest that EA and EA CEO Andrew Wilson have spoken with Disney, Apple, and Amazon about a potential deal to either purchase or merge with EA.
Disney would potentially be an ideal buyer as EA and Disney have worked together in recent years to develop and publish Star Wars titles such as Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order.
In an article by Puck, it’s reported that EA was in advanced talks with NBC Universal before negotiations broke down.
At the moment, there is no deal in the works, but with gaming continuing to grow and billions of dollars at stake, you can never and should never rule anything out.
