IS EA MAKING FIFA 23?
EA recently confirmed that they would no longer be developing FIFA games as their partnership with FIFA has ended.
It was unclear whether the FIFA license would move on to another company or whether EA would continue developing football games moving forward.
Fortunately for us all, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson officially announced the company will rebrand the franchise to EA Sports FC from 2023.
EA stated in a blog post that “EA Sports FC will be the club for everyone” and for “football fans everywhere.”
As for FIFA 23, EA and FIFA have chosen to work again on one final game before their partnership ends next year.
EA says FIFA 23 will be their “biggest game yet” with FIFA’s current naming rights partner.
EA also promises “more features, game modes, World Cup content, clubs, leagues, competitions and players than any other FIFA title before.”
So, the FIFA franchise may be coming to an end, but it looks like FIFA 23 will be more of the football we love.
As for EA Sports FC, we will have to wait to see what the company plans for 2023.
