Super Limit-Breaking NEO will introduce more than 30 new playable characters, new customization options, new stages, and a new solo mode. The free update adds two new battle mechanics: Sparking! Boost and Chain Blast. Sparking! Boost lets players spend a large amount of Skill Stock during Sparking! Mode to temporarily increase their offensive power, though their stats will be lowered for a short time once the effect expires.
While Chain Blast creates a new combo opportunity after launching an opponent, allowing players to switch to a reserve teammate and continue the attack with a blast for even greater damage. Variations of existing stages will also be included as part of the update.

Super Limit-Breaking NEO adds 33 new playable characters from DRAGON BALL, DRAGON BALL Z, DRAGON BALL SUPER, and DRAGON BALL GT, including Super Saiyan Bardock, King Vegeta, Grandpa Gohan, Supreme Kai, General Tao, Super Android 17, Uub, and Demon King Piccolo.
With the addition of these new characters also comes four new stages, Kami’s Palace, Kame House, Bitter Tundra, and Stratosphere, along with more than 20 new customization options.
The biggest draw in this update is the new solo mode, Limit Breaker Journey. This mode lets players chart a path across a map to train their chosen fighter, balancing risk and reward as moving around drains stamina and lowers your starting health for the next fight. Defeating tougher opponents awards more experience to use across six core stats.
There are also special map events that let players slot in stat-boosting Battle Arts to craft a personalized fighter they can bring directly into Player Matches and Offline Battles.
Both the free update and the Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC launch on July 30, 2026 for Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 version has not been announced yet. This release marks the final announced update on the roadmap that Bandai Namco shared back in January.
