Better late than never, we dive into Cyberpunk 2077’s release, fanfare, performance issues, and mods.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a game nobody should miss, with many of us at Allkeyshop believing it to be the Game of the Year. Some even think after a few fixes and patches it can be one of the GOAT video games, along with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person open-world action role-playing game developed by CD Projekt RED, developers of The Witcher series of games.
In Cyberpunk 2077, players take on V’s role, a customizable and highly-skilled mercenary in the city of Night City in the Free State of Northern California.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of the most highly anticipated video games of 2020, maybe even of the last decade. Despite three delays over the previous year, it released to incredible fanfare on December 10.
CD Projekt RED’s latest title didn’t launch smoothly, however, with players all over the world reporting bugs throughout playthroughs.
Those on console who want to experience the game’s much-hyped ray tracing will need to wait for the game’s launch on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2021.
The game is a title for next-gen consoles and hardware, and unfortunately, PlayStation and Xbox owners have felt that with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players suffering from frame rate drops and graphical issues.
The issues have led to PlayStation uncharacteristically removing the game from the Playstation Store.
Cyberpunk 2077 is still currently available on the Xbox digital store, with Microsoft stating there is no plan on taking the game down from sale.
With the game releasing some date in 2021 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, it may be some time before console players get to play the game how it’s intended.
Due to the many problems players have been having since the game launched, CD Projekt RED has stated that players should aim for specs above the minimum.

Update 1.06
There has been some fixing going on for the problems and crashes players are experiencing.
In response to the issues, 1.06 helps improve memory management and stability, resulting in fewer crashes for console players.
Additionally, for PC, the update removed the 8 MB file size, again improving the game’s stability.
Multiplayer in Night City
A multiplayer mode is also planned for Cyberpunk 2077. However, this is an independent side project for CD Projekt Red and will not be released before 2022.

Game of the Year 2020. Masterpiece storyline and gameplay even with small bugs.
