In less than a month, Call of Duty Black Ops 7 will make its full reveal in Gamescom 2025. And while we have some preview already thanks to a few leaks kicking about, a clearer picture of what we can expect came from none other than ESRB. Well the “vibe” not actual gameplay features.

CharlieIntel spotted that Black Ops 7 has already been rated by ESRB. It was quite obvious that the game will be on the mature corner but the Report Summary that came with the rating painted a clear picture of why. And they didn’t hold back.

Things like “repeatedly stabbing a foe”, “characters to explode into bloody chunks”, “frequent dismemberment and decapitation”, and “inhaling marijuana from a bong-like structure attached to a rifle” were included in the writeup. There’s also the bonus of “female figure designed with deep cleavage and/or revealing outfits” that’s the talk of the town lately.

   

Many fans were expecting the rating though since all COD games are rated the same. What people are talking about are the most likely bundles/DLCs of the drug paraphernalia with the weapons, and most especially, the timing of the rating.

When a game is rated, it’s usually not that long until the actual game drop. So are we really getting a full reveal or maybe a surprise launch. The latter won’t be that impossibl since that’s pretty much what happened yesterday with Descenders Next.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7, according to Geoff Keighley, will kick off Gamescom 2025 in a “massive” way. So mark your calendars on August 19th because we might just have to cancel plans for the day.
