Skull and Bones invites players to embark on an epic adventure filled with swashbuckling action and thrilling naval combat. Set against the backdrop of the Golden Age of Piracy, the game promises an immersive experience in the dangerous waters of East Africa and Southeast Asia. Despite facing some setbacks during development, it’s finally here to deliver an exciting journey for players eager to hoist the Jolly Roger and rule the seas!
I think that the main reason of Skull & Bones not being that successful is lack of solid story. Developers were pressed to finally finished the game that they decided to reinforce other aspects of the gameplay while putting aside the plot. Yes, the game is gorgeous and the naval combat is fun, but it still feels like it lacks something. I hope the game will be improved in the future, as its full potential wasn’t fully exploited.

Skull & Bones is an online-only pirate game. Sail the Indian Ocean, discover islands, battle other ships, attack forts and complete quests in order to increase your infamy level and unlock new items and gear. The visuals are great and sailing the seas seem fun to some extent, the game lacks variety though, as there’s only naval battles and boarding enemy ships is done just with a quick animation. Maybe in the future with new updates or added mechanics it will deserve to be called an AAAA title.
Skull and Bones is Ubisoft’s game with probably the longest development ever, with many changes during development. But is seems that it is finally here, the co-o pirate themed game will set sail. The game has all the pirate life details but one, island free exploration, so you can only raid from ships, but still it is a lot of fun. The thing that worries me about this game is that knowing ubisoft they will sell a huge amount of skins and items for real money, so keep that in mind.
