About this game

Sandland is an anime action RPG developed by ILCA, Inc. based on the manga of the same name created by Akira Toriyama known for his work on Blue Dragon, Dragon Ball, and Dragon Quest. Play as the main character of the series the fiend Prince Beelzebub, leading a company of heroic misfit’s chaperone Thief and the fearless Sheriff Rao in search of the legendary Spring hidden in the desert.

• Unlock vehicles that can level up with various mechanical parts including weapons, engines, and suspensions. Make and develop a large variety of vehicles including battle tanks with powerful cannons, Jump Bots that bounce over rivers, and Motorbikes that speed through deserts exploring every corner of the continent.
• Build your basecamp on the city of Spino, building relationships with its inhabitants, the more people you bring in the more the towns capabilities grow. Listen to their requests and wishes unlocking useful materials and city features.
• Beyond the dunes there are adventures to be found wherever you go, unveil its secrets, overcome all obstacles, and find the entrance to an unknown world.

SAND LAND offers a big beautiful dust bowl for players to explore to their hearts’ content. I found its story and its characters to be the main driver for my playthrough, but the fun vehicle combat went hand-in-hand in my enjoyment of the game. A great adaptation of a legend’s work.

Sand Land for Xbox Series X|S not only does a great job bringing one of Akira Toriyama’s arguably lesser-known works to life, but is also a lovely way to say goodbye to a man who has had an incredibly huge impact on Japan’s manga and anime industry as well as the world of video games. Although it’s not necessarily an evolutionary experience on the action RPG front, it should still be a fun ride from start to finish for fans of the genre and source material.
