Murder Diaries 2 is a casual exploration and mystery game developed by EpiXR Games UG, you play as a free-floating light orb abstractly following the narration of a murderer and a young detective as they process their lives, thoughts, and inner feelings each will lead you to a dramatic turning point in there lives a mysterious murder case. Figure out what actually happened, explore fascinating landscapes, abstract environments, and thrilling storytelling, soaked with blood and murder.

• The majority of the gameplay as mentioned before will just be you a floating ball of light flying around a giant landscape exploring the room while soft relaxing music is playing in the background.
• Collecting memory pieces is the only way to advance the game’s story and narration, but you can do so at your own pace. The Story talks about the life of a young boy life and how it changes due to a traumatic chain of events.
• While the first few levels are quite straightforward the more memorable pieces you collect and the chapters you finish the more surreal and abstract the world becomes culminating in an unexpected twist, there are 15 levels in total for you to explore.

Reviews

Murder Diaries 2 takes a tiny step up from the original game, moves the narrative on by splitting it between two protagonists, and asks some good questions on morality. The more abstract-level designs are appreciated, but once again it’s frustrating that old assets push things along.  The gameplay needs to change up too, especially when you consider the pacing issues of some of the levels.
