Genso Chronicles is a mostly enjoyable retro RPG that you certainly won’t regret playing even if it can sometimes be a bit too repetitive and frustrating. Plus, if you love gathering and crafting then you’ll enjoy your time with it much more.

The story of Genso Chronicles is good, and the gameplay is satisfyingly grindy, with the creation of a better weapon delivering quite a decent feeling. The bond system is a bit strange though, but then, it’s always nice to have something different in a KEMCO game.
