DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing is a mario kart style arcade casual racing game with an all-star cast of some of your favorite DreamWorks characters developed by Bamtang Games. Race on twenty different DreamWorks-themed tracks including Shrek’s Swamp, New York City Zoo (Madagascar), Isle of Berk, and many more!

• Experience an all star cast of characters who will you be? Shrek, Po, Tigress, Boss Baby, Puss in Boots, Hiccup, Astrid, etc. it will be hard to choose just one favorite!

DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing is a fairly decent, though basic, kart racer. All of the usual mechanics are present, and the character roster is fun, if a bit limited. Though the sound and visuals are wonky, kids will likely not notice, and a good variety of tracks will keep them busy for a while.

Dreamworks All-Star Kart Racing is the definition of fine. The game plays well and the tracks are fun to traverse, but who was clamoring for a kart racer featuring Shrek and Puss and Boots? This is the hardest sell as Dreamworks has some interesting franchises, but not sure anyone was begging for games built in this universe.

It’s tough being a kart racer in a world where you will always be compared to the genre’s standard-bearer, but DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing is perfectly serviceable. The stages have a weird, uncanny valley to them, but they generally evoke some nostalgia for the movie they represent while reminding you that DreamWorks is continuing to produce new movies worth checking out, too. The racing itself is also fine—it could be a bit tighter as far as items and some movement shortcomings, but the tracks are all well-constructed and enjoyable.
