This horror game is promising to be heart-wrenching. CONSCRIPT puts us in the shoes of a WWI soldier, who has not only to survive himself, but also make tough decisions that will influence the outcome of his actions. With multiple endings, appealing design and intriguing plot, this title will surely be worth playing.
The survival horror genre has seen many games, but Conscript seems to be able to add its own touch of originality. With its pixelated graphics, it takes us back to 1916 after the Battle of Verdun, and in this macabre historical context, we play the role of a French soldier searching for his missing brother. Through trenches and other gloomy corners, you must survive in the face of a tough enemy and a threatening environment, using equipment and weapons of the period.
I like survivals, but you know most of them focus into building a base and settling somewhere, but this one is more about surviving in the middle of the 1st World War, scavenge for food and resources, solve puzzles to get special items, avoid combat if you can, you are just only one soldier, and try to find your lost brother in the middle of the conflict. A game more focused on the story and the struggle and being shown in pixel art, to avoid too much gore I guess
