Ubisoft has revealed the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Year 1 Roadmap, which includes New Game+ and Claws of Awaji expansion. Shadows launched on March 20, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows has finally got its Year 1 Roadmap, with Ubisoft revealing the action RPG’s post-launch plans. Among the updates are New Game+, a new expansion, and new difficulty settings.

What’s Included in the Year 1 Roadmap
Now Ubisoft has revealed the Assassin’s Creed Shadows roadmap, we can see free story content, battle pass “projects” rewards, new allies for our bases, all-new abilities, additional activities, and new backstory content that will “permanently impact” the game.
Ubisoft is preparing Shadows for a busy year with Codex updates, photo mode updates, more parkour options, and “special collaborations” as the game expands into crossovers with other IPs.
What Is the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Expansion
As part of the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Roadmap, Ubisoft has announced the upcoming Claws of Awaji expansion will launch “later this year.” The expansion will be roughly 10 hours long and is set after the end of the original story.
Claws of Awaji will be a free update for those who pre-ordered ACS. We don’t have a pricing or an exact release date, but it will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
