With the end of the year now coming to a close, Bandai Namco has announced the upcoming content in the new Winter Update for Tekken 8.

Tekken 8 is the eighth entry in Namco’s beloved fighting game series. This highly anticipated new chapter continues the story around the Iron Fist Tournament and the Mishima family conflict. Featuring the iconic return of Heihachi Mishima with the latest update.
Tekken 8 gets even more exciting with new additions and the return of fan-favorite fighters. Built with Unreal Engine 5, it introduces new gameplay modes, customizations, and much more. Year 1 wraps up soon, and we’ll get news on Season 2 shortly.

On 8 December 2024, Bandai Namco released a new trailer showcasing some of the features coming with the Winter Update. Get a sneak peek at what’s coming in the new update!
The new update brings numerous additions and tons of customizations to the Tekken 8 experience, marking also the 30th Anniversary of the Iron Fist Tournament series.
Tekken 8 Winter Update – What’s Coming
The new Tekken 8 trailer reveals some of the exciting updates in the Winter Update, including:
- Photo Mode: A revamped Photo Mode with many new options
- Player Search: Finally, search for players directly in-game
- Bonus Levels: New Bonus Levels added to the Fight Pass
- Customization: Enhanced Main Menu customization, Fanart Avatars (Early 2025)
- 30th Anniversary Fight Pass: A new pass celebrating Tekken’s 30th Anniversary with free and premium content (Early 2025)
Plus, a teaser of what’s coming in Season 2, debuting Spring 2025, with fixes, new moves, and the new World Tour 2025.
Tekken 8 – Don’t Miss the Next Content Reveal
But that’s not all! As we near the end of 2025, there’s one last character from the Character Year Pass 1. As Bandai will reveal The fourth and final character of the first Seasonal Pass at The Game Awards 2024.
The event is scheduled for 12th December 2024, at 4:30 PM PST / 13 December at 1:30 AM CET on The Game Awards’ official YouTube or Twitch channels. Alongside the new character, more Tekken 8 updates will surely be revealed.
