The quirky world of SteamWorld has arrived on Game Pass with SteamWorld Dig and its sequel, SteamWorld Dig 2. Both titles are action-adventure platformers with a heavy dose of mining.

In SteamWorld Dig, you take control of Rusty, a steam-powered robot, tasked with exploring a vast underground mine. Dig your way down, collect resources, upgrade your tools, and overcome any enemies you encounter.

SteamWorld Dig 2, on the other hand, throws you into the boots of Dorothy, another steambot searching for Rusty. This sequel expands on the formula, offering a bigger world, a stronger narrative, and new abilities to master.

SteamWorld Dig Joins Game Pass

If you have an active Game Pass subscription, you can start playing SteamWorld Dig for free on June 26, 2024. It will be available to play on Game Pass for Console and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

The game is the 12th title to join the subscription service this month and is joined by its sequel to do so today.

Like the first game, you can start playing SteamWorld Dig 2 for free on June 26, 2024. It will be available to play on Game Pass PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

This isn’t the first time the game has joined the ranks. It was previously added a few years ago and was even up for grabs with Games with Gold in 2022.




There is one last game to join Game Pass this month. Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders is scheduled to enter tomorrow, June 27. If there is no surprise addition, then we can start gearing up for Game Pass July 2024 free game lineup.
