Spirittea is a rural life simulator game about running a spirit bathhouse. Yes, sounds a bit like the well-loved movie Spirited Away.

Here though, instead of serving the bathhouse to free your parents, you take on the role of a writer who has escaped to the countryside to clear his head and find inspiration for the next novel. However, after accidentally drinking from an old mystical teapot, he begins to see the spirit world overlapping with reality.

He then discovers an ancient spirit bathhouse hidden in the mountains. This is where you start running the bathhouse by cleaning towels, chopping wood to heat the baths, and seat the spirits with their friends for the ultimate bathing experience. The goal is to upgrade the bathhouse and become the best bathhouse keeper around.

But since the game isn’t a management simulation game but a rural life sim game, you can also explore the surrounding countryside, fish, catch bugs, and gather resources. You can also befriend the locals and learn about the history of the town.

Spirittea releases today November 13, 2023 for PC, Xbox Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch.
