Legacy of Kain Remastered: Playable from Dec 10 – Get 10% Off Pre-Order

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, the Aspyr team announces the arrival of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered. A remaster of the first two chapters featuring Raziel and his conflict with Kain.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered – Announcement and Release Date

On 24 September 2024, the Aspyr team surprised everyone with the announcement of the remastered versions of the two Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver chapters. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the first Soul Reaver, the release is set for 10 December 2024. Coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. There is also a 10% discount on selected platforms for those who pre-order now.

A great classic series that brings us back to the magical world of Nosgoth. Play as Raziel for the first time in a faithfully remastered action-adventure. These two remasters not only feature graphical improvements but also include some interesting additions to help new players.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2: Remaster Features

Thanks to the direct support of Crystal Dynamics, the Aspyr team had access to the source code of both games. They were able to modernize the game while staying true to the original feel. Along with some additions that will please both series fans and new players:

Camera and Controls: Modern support for controls and in-game camera

Trophies: New Trophies or Achievements to unlock

Map and Compass: Added a Map and Compass to navigate the world of Nosgoth, created by veterans and key figures from the community.

Graphics Toggle: Option to toggle between Modern and Original graphics on the fly.

Photo Mode: The ability to capture epic scenes with photos

But that’s not all — alongside the official announcement on 24 September 2024, the team opens up pre-orders, allowing those who pre-order before launch to enjoy a 10% discount on PC and PlayStation with PS Plus. You’ll be able to get your hands on the remaster of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 on 10 December 2024.
