Kojima and Xbox Drop OD Knock Trailer – First Look at the New Horror Experience

Hideo Kojima has dropped the first trailer for his upcoming horror game OD during today’s Kojima Productions: Beyond the Strand event. The reveal which was made together with Phil Spencer of Microsoft Gaming was satisfyingly terrifying that it’s almost painful to not know when it will be released.

Kojima Horror Game OD: Knock Trailer Released

With Hideo Kojima’s brilliance and Microsoft’s funding, literally anything is impossible. And that was clear when Kojima and Spencer dropped the first trailer for OD: Knock, their upcoming horror game.

The game was titled OD but Kojima has now added ‘Knock’ as a subtitle not only to differentiate his work from Jordan Peele’s film project (also titled OD) but also to highlight the fear of ‘knock’.

During the presentation, he even said, “I really am afraid of big knock sounds.” He isn’t alone as most are, and probably by the time the game is out, a lot more will be.

Kojima initially dropped a teaser during TGA 2023 which featured Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier. It was simple, impressively acted, and brilliantly directed as it ended with almost the perfect scream after Lilli’s eyes showed a door slowly creaking open. Short, mysterious, and exciting.

Fast forward to today, we are treated to 3 minutes and a half showing more of the setting and letting us in, somehow, on the setting of the game. While the description is redacted, the ones that weren’t were enough to paint a picture.

Not much was revealed about the game apart from the trailer and the continued work between Kojima Productions and Xbox Game Studios. Hopefully though with TGS 2025 officially starting in a couple of days, we’ll get some more OD Knock surprises.
