Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (KCD 2) is the highly awaited sequel to the beloved Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The game, developed by Warhorse Studios, was first released in 2018 following a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2014. Taking players to the Kingdom of Bohemia in the 13th century.
You play as Henry during the Bohemian War of 1403. A life-changing event drives him to take up arms and discover a tumultuous world. Along the way, he encounters historical figures and learns more about himself. The sequel continues his journey in a more ambitious project.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II – Release Date Announced Ahead of Schedule
The announcement came on 4th December 2024, via Warhorse Studios’ Twitter (X) channel. In a video, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, aka Sir Tobi, shares the news, officially confirming that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has reached Gold status. The team is now working on final fixes and optimizations.
But that’s not all! Tobi also revealed that the release date for KCD 2 has been moved up from 11 February to 4 February 2025. This means fans can dive into the new Kingdom Come story a whole week earlier!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II – The New Story Trailer
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II joined the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, revealing a brand-new Story Trailer. The trailer introduces some of the characters we’ll meet, including key historical figures, and hints at the tough choices Henry will face.
A recurring theme is revenge and the lengths Henry will go to achieve it. Thus we expect character growth, but not always in a positive direction. And We’ll come to understand more about why Martin chose to retreat to Skalitz, with the strong phrase, “War is a nasty business.”
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II: Exclusive 43-Minute Showcase
But that’s not all! IGN premiered an exclusive 43-minute showcase, featuring gameplay that takes players back to 1403 during the Siege of Suchdol, this time through the eyes of Father Godwin. The showcase also touches on events from a few weeks earlier involving Henry and Sir Hans.
The showcase highlights KCD’s classic dialogue system, with minor choices and options available at the camp. Players can also refresh their skills in a training session with Sir Hans, wrapping up with a splash in the river and an incorrigible Sir Hans moment.

The latest trailer also revealed the system requirements for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Judging by the specs, players should not underestimate the new entry, especially for high settings and 1440p resolution.

The minimum requirements are reminiscent of the recommended specs for the first installment, except for a more recent CPU. As for consoles, there are the usual Performance and Fidelity presets. Performance targets 1080p at 60fps, while Fidelity goes for 4K at 30fps. It appears the game will feature FSR upscaling, and VRR hints at potential frame drops. PS5 Pro is capable of 60fps in 4K, thanks to PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution.
