WHAT VIDEO GAME MOVIES ARE RELEASING IN 2022?

Some incredible video games are releasing in 2022, including Elden Ring, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Lost Ark, GRID Legends, Gran Turismo 7, GhostWire: Tokyo, and Starfield.

But, there are some movie adaptations of our favorite games to look forward to in 2022, and we got them all listed for you below.

 

UNCHARTED

Release Date: 18 February    

Described as a prequel to the Uncharted games on the Sony PlayStation, Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and his mentor Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) set off on a heist that will take them across the globe while being hunted by ruthless mercenaries.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2

Release Date: 1 April

   

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is a live-action sequel to the 2020 Sonic film and will see Knuckles and Tails join Sonic’s adventure, with Jim Carrey, James Marsden, and  Idris Elber leading a star-studded cast.

SUPER MARIO BROS.

Release Date: 21 December

   

Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Princess Peach, and Donkey Kong are all set for a brand new animated film, with actors including Chris Pratt, Jack Black, and Anya Taylor-Joy lending their voices for Nintendo’s latest adventure about our favorite overalls-wearing plumbers.

MINECRAFT: THE MOVIE

After a couple of delays and a change of director, Minecraft: The Movie will hopefully release in 2022. although no date or details are available at the moment.

THE DIVISION

Tom Clancy’s The Division stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain, two survivors in a world where a pandemic virus spreads via paper money during Black Friday.

BORDERLANDS

Gearbox’s Borderlands is confirmed for a 2022 or early 2023 release date. Directed by Eli Roth, cast members include Cate Blanchett (Lilith), Jack Black (Claptrap), Jamie Lee Curtis (Tannis), and Kevin Hart (Roland).
