Codemasters has unveiled more details on the expanded F1 2017 career mode through a new video. According to Codemasters, this year’s Career Mode is the most complete in the history of the F1 video game franchise.

F1 2017 PS4
F1 2017 Xbox One

The F1 2017 Career Mode introduces invitational events during key points in the regular F1 season. In these invitational events, you’ll get to drive 12 classic cars across different events including pursuit events, checkpoint, overtake and time attack challenges.  The classic cars can also be played in all the other areas of the game. They may also be raced both as single-class and multi-class (C1 and C2) races.

The Career Mode was a big hit last year and we are building on those incredibly strong foundations to create an even deeper, more rounded experience for F1 2017. We have added female driver avatars, new paddock locations and a new character as well as greatly increasing the scope for developing your team and car. All of this, we feel, combined with the addition of the iconic classic cars this year, means that F1 2017 offers gamers the ultimate F1 experience yet. -Creative Director Lee Mather

Aside from the invitational events, the Career Mode also offers a wide array of Research and Development upgrades, new practice programmes you can master, and an “increased importance given to the management and reliability of your car’s engine and gearbox elements.”

Check out what’s in store for you in the Career Mode through the video below!

F1 2017 is all set to be released on 25 August and will be available on PC via Steam, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
