The newest State of Play clocked in at just over an hour. However, it felt significantly longer given the sheer volume of announcements. Playstation delivered a relentless showcase of updates for upcoming SIE Studios titles.
They also highlighted third-party partners and dropped a few genuine surprises. There was no time wasted on filler. From the return of iconic stealth franchises to a brand-new look at 007, the pacing remained aggressive throughout.
Here is the full breakdown of every major announcement, release date, and shadow drop revealed during the broadcast.
God of War and 007 Take Center Stage
Santa Monica Studio closed the show with two massive updates. First, they confirmed that a remake of the original God of War Greek trilogy is currently in early development.
But they didn’t leave fans waiting. The studio also shadow-dropped God of War: Sons of Sparta, a 2.5D action platformer developed with Mega Cat Studios. It is available on PS5 right now.
007 First Light also debuted a new story trailer. This origin story takes James Bond to Iceland, focusing on his recruitment into the 00 program. IO Interactive’s take seems grounded and gritty. Showcasing Bond working alongside his instructor to hunt down a rogue agent.

This state of Play was awesome, great pacing and lots of surprises. And they announced what I was waiting for, because leaks had already shown Sony as publisher for Death Stranding PC version, so March it will be. Control resonant looks incredible, the maps layouts will be hard for people with zero sense of direction like me XD And John Wick game :O
