Sony Reveals Astro Bot Success: Over 1.5 Million Copies Sold
A few days ago, Sony Interactive Entertainment released its Q2 2024 financial report, including details on the sales of Astro Bot.
Astro Bot is the latest 3D Platformer developed by Team ASOBI, released on 6 September 2024 exclusively for Playstation 5. Featuring the fun adventures of the lovable robot Astro and celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Playstation. This colorful, fun-filled game offers a journey through 90 levels, paying homage to various Playstation ecosystem IPs.
Astro’s unexpected success has solidified him as an official Mascot for Playstation. Astro previously appeared in Astro Bot Rescue Mission as a showcase for the PSVR, and later in Astro’s Playroom to demonstrate the capabilities of the PS5.

The news comes directly from Sony’s financial report on 8th November 2024. Where Astro Bot stands out among Playstation IPs. With exactly 58 days since launch, Astro’s adventures have sold over 1.5 million copies.
