A 1920s New York Setting Built on Historical Research

The development team conducted on-site research to recreate Prohibition-era New York accurately. The environmental design features historically authentic architecture, vintage automobiles, and period-appropriate fashion.

Konami blends this grounded historical reality with high fantasy elements. Hidden magical districts exist behind the standard skyscrapers, housing secretive magic users and mystical creatures alongside normal citizens.

Music plays a central role in the world-building and atmosphere. The studio collaborated with the jazz band SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS and singer-songwriter Emi Meyer to create the original theme song, “Cool/Hot,” which anchors the game’s swing-infused aesthetic.
