New Nioh 3 Demo Launches With Online Multiplayer and Completion Bonus

Nioh 3 demo is now live on PS5 and PC, featuring online multiplayer, save data carryover, and a completion bonus ahead of the February release.

 

Nioh fans, the day has come to experience the latest entry of the dark samurai action RPG series that we so love. Koei Tecmo has officially launched the new Nioh 3 demo on Playstation 5 and Steam, offering hands-on access to the opening portion of the game a week ahead of launch.

And as if we need more convincing, playing the demo doesn’t just give us early access but also completing it gives us a bonus that we can also carry over to the full game.

 

What to expect with the new Nioh 3 Demo

Nioh 3 is scheduled to release on February 6, 2026 for Playstation 5 and PC via Steam. While that’s not a long wait anymore, we can already step into its world now with the newly released demo available on both platforms. This cannot be played offline though.

From the outset, players can create their character, explore the early Warring States open field, and engage with the game’s core combat systems. The demo also includes multiplayer allowing up to three players to team up and experience missions together.

Progress made will automatically be carried over to the full game as long as it’s under the same login and the same platform. An important thing to note is that once a player starts the full version of the game when it launches and saved data is created, the demo can no longer be accessed.

   

Completing the demo before February 15, 2026 rewards players with the Twin-Snake Helmet which is the same reward previously offered in the PlayStation 5 Alpha Demo. Players who have already earned it will not receive it again. But hey, it’s not the reason why we want to play the demo right?

If you happen to not complete the demo and/or just decide to go straight for the full game, the Twin-Snake Helmet can still be obtained in the full game by defeating Jakotsu-baba before February 15, 2026 where it is guaranteed to drop. After February 16, 2026, the item becomes a rare drop from the same enemy.

The demo is a sizable download on both platforms. On PlayStation 5, the file size comes in at 59 GB while the PC version on Steam requires 80 GB of storage. The large download reflects the amount of content included and reinforces that this demo offers a substantial portion of the game’s opening experience.
