Their addition includes a dedicated faction questline, custom technologies, heroes, and unique traits available in the Custom Faction creator. In addition to the Sandshapers, version 1.0 debuts “Rogue Factions,” splinter groups derived from core societies with distinct mechanics and questlines.

As confirmed in the press release issued by Hooded Horse, the first two Rogue Factions are the Order of Zelevas—a conquest-focused offshoot of the Kin of Sheredyn—and The Severed Claw, a Necrophage variant that replenishes armies solely by enslaving defeated opponents.

What Is Included in the Community Minor Faction?

Version 1.0 also introduces the Mangrove of Harmony, a starfish-like minor faction built with direct artistic, lore, and mechanical contributions from the player community.

This faction brings its own hero, questline, recruitable units, and specialized population traits centered around Dustwater reservoirs.

Their signature unit, the Colossus of Harmony, functions as a mobile walking fortress capable of launching Dust-infused tendrils to pierce enemy ranks from long range.
