SNK officially releases Duck King for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on August 27, 2026. SNK confirmed the launch date through a dedicated gameplay trailer and press statement. The character joins the roster as the second DLC fighter for Season 3, following the July arrival of Rick Strowd.

The classic character returns to a mainline title for the first time since Real Bout Fatal Fury 2. The development team retained his iconic moves, including the Head Spin Attack and the Break Spiral. The studio also expanded his moveset with a multi-step attack featuring distinct follow-ups.


How Does Duck King Fit into the EOST and Arcade Modes?

The Dance King of South Town brings a focused narrative to the fighting game. The developers integrated character-specific storylines across the single-player modes to expand his rivalry with Terry Bogard and his connection to the Pao Pao Café.

The RPG-style EOST mode follows the fighter on a revenge mission against Wolfgang Krauser. The former emperor defeated the dancer years prior, and the breakdancer now seeks to settle the long-standing score in South Town.

The standard Arcade mode introduces a different plotline centered around Richard Meyer. The Pao Pao Café owner faces a buyout threat, prompting the martial artist to enter the King of Fighters tournament to win the prize money. Cedric Williams provides the English voice acting, while Anri Katsu handles the Japanese performance.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Expands with the Revenge Edition

The publisher restructured the digital storefront offerings to accommodate the growing character roster. The new Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Revenge Edition streamlines access for new players wanting the complete fighting game experience.

The Revenge Edition bundles the base game with Season Passes 1, 2, and Season 3 for under €50. SNK also sells the standalone Season 3 Pass for around €20. The current hardware platforms support PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.

The developer will continue to expand the roster with Kim Kaphwan in September and Laocorn Gaudeamus in November. Two additional mystery characters will finalize the roadmap before the end of the year.
