Divinity: Original Sin 3? New Trademarks Solve Mojave Desert Statue Mystery and Reveal Larian Studios’ Next Project
Fans believe they know what Larian Studios is working on next after Divinity trademarks were spotted online, which fans think points to Divinity: Original Sin 3.
After its massive success with Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios has kept its next project a secret. Now, fans fans believe we could be seeing a new Divinity sequel after trademarks for the IP were spotted online by MP1st.
The trademarks were for a logo and two icons, one of which looks very similar to the statue left in the Mojave Desert ahead of The Game Awards 2025, suggesting a big reveal from Larian is coming at TGA on December 11.
Analyzing the Trademark Filings
While Larian’s director of publishing, Michael Douse, has tried to calm fan expectations by claiming “there aren’t currently any plans for a new Divinity: Original Sin 3,” the trademark filing for the logo is unmistakably the studio’s IP.
Furthermore, while one of the icons reveals very little, the other looks almost identical to the statue from the Mojave Desert that The Game Awards 2025 host Geoff Keighley teased fans with last week, suggesting Larian is building up for a huge announcement at this year’s TGA.

Larian Studios founder and CEO Swen Vincke has always maintained that the studio will reveal its next title when ready, telling fans that it will be “familiar enough, but different.”
Divinity: Original Sin 3 would be familiar to fans yet distinct from BG3. Additionally, the icon resembling the mystery statue suggests December 11 will be an event fans won’t want to miss.
