The Blood of Dawnwalker Revealed by Former Witcher Devs

The Blood of Dawnwalker is an upcoming action RPG by developer Rebel Wolves, the studio that co-created The Witcher 3. A gameplay reveal is coming in the summer of 2025.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is a new action RPG by Rebel Wolves, a studio formed by ex-CD Projekt Red developers who worked on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. Set in 14th-century Europe, vampires look to take their place from within the shadows, striking what remains of humanity after the Black Death.

Developed in Unreal Engine 5, The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game’s cinematic reveal trailer highlights the RPG’s stunning visuals and brutal story. The devs promise a full gameplay reveal in the summer of 2025. 

A New Chapter from Veteran Developers

Rebel Wolves is a new studio formed in February 2022. Consisting of veteran developers, the studio is working on its first title, The Blood of Dawnwalker. On its website, the studio says that “games must be fun” and should “make the most of interactivity.”

Using their expertise and experience, Rebel Wolves founder Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who previously served as game director on Witcher 3 and quest designer on Witcher 2, wants to turn The Blood of Dawnwalker into a compelling narrative sandbox, emphasizing player choice and immersive storytelling.

Anticipated Release and Platforms

Scheduled to release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, The Blood of Dawnwalker begins a planned saga. An overview via Bandai Namco explains the game follows Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, who will have different skills and abilities depending on the time of day.

While an exact release date is yet to be announced, the dark fantasy action RPG will get a gameplay reveal this coming summer.
