Slitterhead is a new horror action-adventure from Bokeh Game Studio, and during the Tokyo Game Show 2024, we got a new trailer for the upcoming horror. The Slitterhead trailer from TGS shows off the game’s setting, combat, and some enemies players can expect to face off against.

Bokeh Game Studio CEO and Slitterhead creator Keiichiro Toyama speaks throughout the trailer about the game’s unique possession mechanic. The possession feature allows players to quickly borrow another body as they travel through the city or seek survival. Players can try the unique mechanic when Slitterhead releases on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 8, 2024.

New Slittlerhead Feature: Unique Possession Mechanic Explained

Speaking throughout the Slitterhead trailer shown at TGS, creator Keiichiro Toyama explained the horror’s possession system. In the trailer, Toyama explains that “the main character is a spiritual lifeform without a physical body. It can only act once it borrows the body of a human.” Players can change hosts one after another to take advantage of situations such as moving through locations at high speed and even surviving against an enemy hunting them.

Toyama describes the core mechanic of Slitterhead as “control.” The possession system is designed to give players more control over how they approach the game’s story and challenges. Bokeh Game Studio and Keiichiro Toyama are proud of the possession mechanic, and it’s getting players even more excited for Slitterhead’s release on November 4.
