New Halloween games in the works with John Carpenter
Halloween, the classic 1978 horror that introduced Michael Myers, is getting two new games. Developed by Boss Team Games, the developer of Evil Dead: The Game, these new games will be based heavily on the horror franchise. John Carpenter is working on at least one of them.
John Carpenter involved in developing Halloween video games
In a press release, Carpenter said, “I’m thrilled to help bring Michael Myers to life again in this game, and my hope is to scare you silly.” One of the games in Unreal Engine 5 and will allow you to “relive moments from the film and play as classic characters.”
There’s nothing else about the games. We don’t know what kind of horror they will be. They could be a Dead by Daylight-esque game, bearing in mind Myers already appears as the Shape in Behavior Interactive’s asymmetrical horror, or it could be a single-player horror like Alien: Isolation.
Whatever type of games they’ll be, they are coming. With Carpenter involved, expect them to be faithful to the source material and quite bone-chilling to play.
